Mickleover added a mix of youth and experience to their defence, when they signed Stefan Galinksi and Notts County loanee Kieran Brown on the eve of last Saturdays’ match at Matlock.
Galinski is an experienced centre back that started out at Derby County, but after a loan spell at Corby Town he moved on to Stoke City.
Boston Utd and Stalybridge were his next stops, before a two-year spell at Alfreton, during which time he was loaned to Grantham. His next move was to
Hednesford and more recently he played for Basford and Gainsborough is capped by Poland at Under 18 level.
Stefan is a really important signing. He is an excellent communicator and will provide us with additional physicality and leadership. He has a wealth of experience at this level and leagues above, and he’s a really positive character.
said Mickleover manager Gareth Holmes.
Brown is a versatile player and has impressed at Meadow Lane, before coming to the Don Amott Arena to increase his experience.
Kieran is very well thought of at Notts County. He can cover a few different positions and excels in 1v1 situations. He brings lots of pace and power to the group and the ability to carry the ball well. I would like to thank Notts County for allowing Kieran to join us on loan.
