Mickleover manager Gareth Holmes managed to put to pen topaper with two more signings, just before last Saturday’s home win.
Centre back George Wilkinson came in from Ilkeston. A former Chesterfield youngster. He started this season at Rushall Olympic and has also played on loan at Coalville and Matlock.
Midfielder Finn Flanagan is a loanee from Mansfield Townand was on loan at Rushall too before Christmas.
We also had two departures last week, with loanees Kieran Brown and Amarn Robinson returning to Notts County and Nottingham Forest.
All rounder Dan Bradley has left Mickleover after a 2 ½ year stay since arriving from Ilkeston.
Having been a regular in the squad for this first two seasons, he has only made five starts this term, one at centre back and four in midfield and hasn’t been on the bench since Morpeth away in November.
He will see out the rest of this season at Rushall Olympic, as they try to hold onto their National League North status.
Everyone at Mickleover wishes him well in the move and thank him for his support at the Don Amott Arena.
Mickleover manager Gareth Holmes has continued to be busy in the transfer market this week, signing two promising youngsters on loan.
Kwaku Donkor is a right back from Blackpool and part of the Seasiders Under 21 squad. He has recently returned from a loan spell at Welling Utd, having previously spent three months with Havant & Waterlooville last season.
Samson Hewett is an attacking midfielder with Kidderminster Harriers. After loans at Bromsgrove and Malvern Town, he returned from a spell at Sporting Khalsa on New Years Day.
Both players are straight into tonight’s squad and everyone at Mickleover would like to thank Blackpool and Kidderminster for their co-operation in competing the signings.

The vastly experienced striker Chris O’Grady has signed for Mickleover.
With over 550 league appearances scoring over 100 goals, O’Grady started out at Leicester City and made his league debut in 2003 in the old League Division One.
He went on to play in the Premiership, Leagues One and Two, for Notts County, Rushden & Diamonds, Rotherham, Oldham Athletic, Bury, Bradford City, Stockport County, Rochdale, Sheffield Wednesday, Barnsley, Brighton, Sheffield Wednesday, Nottingham Forest, Burton Albion and Chesterfield, before ending his football league career at Bolton Wanderers in June 2020.
More recently he has appeared for Ilkeston Town and Grantham Town and in his youth was capped by England at Under 17 level, and goes straight into the squad for tonight’s game.
Jamie Soule has returned to National League South Club Weston Super Mare FC, after his loan spell at Mickleover.
He made six starts and scored one memorable goal, the winner at home to Macclesfield.
