Striker Harvey Smith finally made his Mickleover debut in our win at Coventry Utd, having previously been unavailable since signing from Lichfield City in pre-season. Smith had been at Studley until Coventry Sphinx signed him in November 2020. He spent over five years at Sphinx, but had a four-year lay-off, before his prolific goalscoring came to Lichfield’s attention and they signed him last January.

Striker Luca played his junior football at Nottingham Forest. He was loaned to Evesham and North Leigh and following his release he signed for National League Boston Utd in August 2024.
During his time at Boston he had further loans Carlton and Quorn and last season at Stamford and Leamington.

Kane is a versatile wide striker signed from Rugby Borough for the start of the new season.
He started his career at Mickleover as an eight year old, before being signed up by at Derby County. After a loan spell at Matlock Town, joined Ilkeston following his release in 2013.
His next stop was Chester City, which included loan at Gainsborough, before moving on to Dover Athletic. He played for Telford and Kidderminster too before having his first spell at Basford. After further moves to Nuneaton and Kettering, he rejoined Basford in February 2024, staying a year before moving to Barwell and finally Rugby Borough last February.

Manni is 21 year old striker and was our first signing of 2026 when he arrived on loan from Boston Utd.
His never say die attitude soon made him a popular member of the squad, finishing the season as joint top scorer.
He started his career back as an under five at Collingham and played for Newark Town and RHP Colts before being spotted by Manchester Utd as a 14 year old.
He went out on loan to Gainsborough Trinity, before moving to Nottingham Forest in June 2023, after five years at Man Utd. A further loan followed where he scored one goal in five games for Cheltenham Town in League Two, before joining Boston at the beginning of last season after his Forest release.
Back at the Mickleover for 26/27, he is now with us on a permanent basis.

Another Academy product, Liam is an attacking midfielder and came back from a serious hip injury sustained in a reserve match in 2023, to become a regular reserve and Academy player.
He is Josh’s twin brother and also took his first team bow against Alfreton Town in the Derbyshire Senior Cup in 24/25, before making two league starts towards the end of the season.

A young attacking midfielder, Josh has come through the Mickleover Academy and was the 24/25 player of the year and top scorer for the reserve side.
He joined the first team squad for the first time towards the end of 24/25 and made his debut as a second half substitute in the game at Stockton. He made two starts before the end of the term and also came off the bench.
Part of last season was spent on loan at Belper Utd and Heanor Town, before completing the season back in the Mickleover first team and scored his first senior goal for the club.
He is also Liam Carter’s twin brother.
