Safeguarding

Mickleover FC acknowledges that we have a responsibility to our community and children who visit/use our facilities to ensure that they are safe and protected.

All Coaches at our club will have a DBS check proving they are safe to work in an environment with children. Further to this all coaches must be FA qualified to at least level 1 standard. Coaches must also continually update safeguarding of children certificate and emergency aid accreditation.

Checks and qualifications are held by Derbyshire County FA on their data base and if a parent so requests those details can be obtained by the Club Welfare Officer.

Failure of Coaches to update these requirements may lead to suspension by the Club.

The Management Committee will be responsible to ensure that any Child Protection issues are addressed appropriately.
Mickleover FC operates an “Open Door” Policy in respect of Safeguarding children and actively encourages anyone with any concerns whilst visiting The Don Amott Arena to approach our Club Welfare Officer in the knowledge that this will be treated confidentially.

The Club Welfare Officer for Our Club is Darren Kay – Club Secretary and he can be contacted on 07891 512 346 or at secretary@mickleoverfc.com.

Children under the age 14 will not be allowed on-site without a accompanying adult.
