Mickleover have signed Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Will Trueman on a months loan.

The 20 year od made his first team debut with a goal against Leicester City Under 21’s and also scored in a recent friendly against Huddersfield Town.

He is the current League Football Apprentice of the Year and goes straight into the Mickleover squad for todays game at home to Kings Langley.

Former England Under 18 goalkeeper Oliver Bosworth has joined Mickleover as cover for first-team keeper Jonathan Hedge.

A former Leicester City Junior, he has also played in Spain with CD Almunecar and signed for Sports after a successful trial, making his debut in the Derbyshire Senior Cup at Long Eaton Utd.

There was one particularly happy Sports fan at the Don Amott Arena last night and not just because it was a 4-1 victory.

Adam Powell was the lucky winner of a record £535 on the clubs fund raising “Last Man Standing.”

Basically you pick a Premier League team after paying your £10 in week one, if your team wins in goes into draw. But you cannot pick the same team again, unless there is a roll over, which there was in this case.

The player with the longest predicted string of wins wins the pot and that’s the basic rules.

New players can enter but selections have to be made before 4pm on a Friday.
