Two Strikers Arrive at Mickleover

Mickleover have signed two young exciting strikers.

18 year old Jayden Ogebor had come on loan from Stoke City, where he has been a regular member of their under 18 squad. He’s been at the Potters since the age of 12 and this is his first spell out on loan.

Jayden Lawrence-Lowther plays under the name of Jayden Samuels and is a former Notts County Academy player. He has played at Gedling Miners Welfare and more recently part of the Alfreton Town junior set-up.

Recent Departures

We have had new arrivals and now some departures from our squad at Mickleover.

Louis Bonser arrived early in the season initially on a months loan from Mansfield Town. With the period of his loan extended, he made 22 appearances scoring one goal, before returning to his Stags home this week.

Josiah Dyer has also returned to Peterborough Sports, after some strong performances in Sports colours. He scored seven goals in his 25 appearances, while having recently returned for a second spell, Josh Ashman has been recalled by Bradford Park Avenue.

Everyone at Mickleover would like to thank Mansfield Town, Peterborough Sports and Bradford Park Avenue for their help on co-operation through the season.

Finally Thabang Dube has left us too and joined Coventry Sphinx, after netting four goals in his 17 games and we all wish him well.

Welcome to Belper United

Mickleover FC are delighted to announce from the 2026/27 season that we will welcome Belper Utd on a ground share at the Don Amott Arena.

This new working relationship will help forge an opportunity to champion Belper Utd’s journey as they look to push on in The National League System from an excellent season so far.

With our new arrangement it will help a new set of fans, players and staff to experience the wonderful facilities we have on offer.

We sincerely hope Belper Utd enjoy their new home and look forward to having them on-board and working together for the foreseeable future.

Squad Changes At Mickleover

On the eve of Mickleover’s home game against Racing Club Warwick last Saturday, Sports boss Gareth Holmes added two players to his squad to see out the season.

Winger/midfielder Luke McCormick spent time with Gareth at the Nottingham Forest Academy, before joining Grantham Town following his release. He then spent six years in the US before his return to the UK.

Goalkeeper Jason Alexander began his career at Chesterfield and joins us on a dual registration from Kettering Town. Both players were in last Saturday’s starting line-up.

There has also been one outgoing move, with Fraser Corden going out on loan to Belper Utd. He scored on his debut after coming on as a second half substitute.

Potters Youngster Heads To Mickleover

20 year old central midfielder Will Smith has joined Mickleover on a months loan from Stoke City, subject to NPL, EFL and FA approval.

He has made two appearances in this years EFL Cup, having come through the clubs Academy, Under 18’s and Under 21’s.

Bos Moves On

Goalkeeper Oliver Bosworth has left Mickleover and made his debut for Coventry Phoenix yesterday.

Bos returned to the Don Amott Arena at the start of this season, having originally left in 2024 after losing his place to Yusuf Mersin following an injury.

He was first choice again for the early part of this season, before falling out favour. Everyone at Mickleover wish him well on is new move and future career.

Mickleover Sign Defender & Teenage Striker

Mickleover have signed defender Danny Gordon from Anstey Nomads. He joined Nomads in pre-season after he had been at Corby Town for three years.

He has also played for Loughborough Dynamo and Belper Town.

18 year old striker Michael Ihiedi has also joined Mickleover, after graduated through the academy at Isthmian League Cray Wanderers, to making his senior debut last season.

He has also played for Corinthian in the Southern Counties League and is currently studying in Derby. He was an unused substitute in Tuesday’s Derbyshire Senior Cup defeat.
