Prader-Willi Syndrome Association UK Sponsors Mills

We’d like to say a big Thank You to Mickleover Sports FC & Don Amott for making us the sponsor of their former Derby County center half Pablo Mills for the 2018/19 season.

Mickleover are a fantastic community club in Derby who did fantastically well last season finishing 12th in the Evo-Stick Northern Premier League.

Good luck for the coming season to Pablo, Don and the whole team and I (Dan) look forward to another season of supporting my local club!

Sports’ Sign Burrows and Doran

Curtis Borrows

IMG_5163Manager’s quote:
“I am delighted to announce the signing of Curtis Borrows who played 56 games last season for Grantham Town in their journey to the play off final. He is a player who I have long admired and fits in perfectly with the footballing ethos here at Mickleover Sports. He will add undoubted quality and relentless work rate to our team. Welcome to Sports Curtis.”
John McGrath

Curtis’ quote:
“I’m a local lad and everything seems right for where I am in this stage of my career. From playing against Mickleover numerous times, I’ve always admired the way they play good passing football, this is important for me as a player and a big factor in me joining the Football club. I feel that this is the rights place for me to develop as a footballer. I think I am joining Mickleover at the right time, from speaking to people at the club, it is clear to see there ambition moving forward and also some exciting developments at the football club. I’ve had a taste of a play-off final last season with Grantham, I want to be able to go one step further next season and feel that Mickleover has a great chance of doing that. I’m still young at 21 but feel I have a decent amount of experience at this level and have a lot to offer as a player. I can’t wait to get started!”

Niall Doran

Manager’s quote:
“I would like to announce the signing of Niall Doran to the club and I am really excited about managing and playing with such an exciting young talent here at Mickleover. Niall is an exceptional and really clever footballer and for someone so young has the ability to go on to bigger and better things. I believe he is at the right club with Mickleover Sports and will fit straight in to a side renowned for playing football. Welcome on board Niall.”
John McGrath

Niall’s quote:
“Having met the manager, I’m delighted to have signed for a club that’s clearly going forward. I’m excited and looking forward to playing the style of football that the club stands for. I feel like it’s a really good opportunity for me and will give my all to help the club succeed this season.”

Ben Turner Re-Signs for Sports

Manager’s quote:

“I am delighted to re-sign Ben for the upcoming 2018/19 season. Always one of my most consistent performers and in my opinion the best left back plying his trade outside the football league. A fantastic team player and an integral part of our changing room.”

John McGrath

Player’s quote:

“I am delighted to be signing again for Mickleover Sports and it is a club I can see going in only one direction under the guidance of Don Amott and manager John McGrath. I love the gaffers playing philosophy and I am yet to see a better team around this division at doing so. It was an easy decision to commit and hopefully achieve our target of promotion next season.”
