With 4 wins in a row, Mickleover Sports came into this game aiming to bag another win. Sports boss John McGrath put out a very good 4-4-2 formation with Callum Hawkins in goal. The back four consisted of Jake Scott, Pablo Mills, Ben Turner and Durrell Berry. The midfield consisted of Ricky Ravenhill, Mason Warren, Jimmy Phillips and Kyle Carey. The two front strikers consisted of Nathan Jarman and Shaquille McDonald. The bench consisted of Jack Walsh, Adam Prusa, Jiri Boula, John McGrath and Evan Garnett.
First half commenced and on the first minute, chance came for Lancaster. An early free kick was awarded to Lancaster. Rob Wilson took the free kick and was saved into the hands of Sports goalkeeper Callum Hawkins. On the 13th minute, chance came for Sports. A great ball from Kyle Carey through to Shaquille McDonald into the box but Shaquille was flagged offside. On the 17th minute, another chance came for Sports. Once again, a fantastic effort from Kyle Carey just inside the box but his shot was saved into the hands of Lancaster’s goalkeeper Jack Sims. Throughout the past ten minutes, Sports and Lancaster had some excellent chances and wrongful decisions but the score stayed at 0-0. On the 30th minute and a goal came for Lancaster after a free kick was awarded to Lancaster. Ryan Winder took the free kick and met the head of Durrell Berry who unfortunately headed it into the back of the Lancaster net to give Lancaster the lead. On the 42nd minute, chance came for Lancaster. A quick corner routine from the home side saw the ball fall to Charlie Bailey but he blasted the ball over the bar. Not much occurred throughout the first half but unfortunately is was mostly Lancaster with the chances with pure domination over the Sports defence.

Second half commenced and on the 48th minute, chance came for Sports. Nathan Jarman was played in over the top and took his shot but was blocked away for a corner. Mason Warren took the corner but was cleared away by Lancaster. On the 50th minute, chance came for Lancaster. A cross into the box met Lewis Fensome and his shot was tipped over the bar by Sports keeper Callum Hawkins. Corner was taken and cleared away by Sports defence. On the 54th minute, Sports got the equaliser after a corner was awarded. Mason Warren took the corner and met the head of Pablo Mills who put the ball into the bottom right corner. On the 59th minute, chance came for Sports. A lovely run from Jake Scott met the feet of Shaquille McDonald who volleyed it out wide of the right hand of the post. On the 65th minute, Sports went in the lead after a free kick was awarded to Sports. Mason Warren took the free kick and fell to Durrell Berry who headed it into the goal and made up from his goal earlier on. On the 67th minute, Sports made their first substitution with Evan Garnett replacing Kyle Carey. On the 74th minute, chance came for Lancaster. Durrell Berry gave the ball away and Lancaster took the opportunity to equalise but the shot from Charlie Bailey smacked off the post and gave Sports the let off. On the 80th minute and another chance came for Lancaster as a free kick was awarded. Free kick was taken and spilled out of the hands of Callum Hawkins and kicked out by Pablo Mills. On the 87th minute, chance came for Lancaster, but the shot was saved in the hands of Callum Hawkins. On the 90th minute, Sports made another substitution with Shaquille McDonald coming off and replaced by Jack Walsh. During added time, there was quite a lot of action with Lancaster desperately wanting an equaliser and it came on the 6th minute of added time as Brad Carsley’s shot went straight past Callum Hawkins to give Lancaster the equaliser and Sports to share the points.
