Mickleover Sports make the 120 mile round trip to Lincolnshire based and recently Relegated Gainsborough Trinity on Tuesday night (7:45pm) hoping to pick up where they left off from a solid 0-0 draw at Stalybridge Celtic on Saturday.
Trinity were relegated for the first time in their history last season finishing 20th in the National League North. The club, managed by former Watford, Bradford and Huddersfield defender Lee Sinnott, will be looking for an immediate return to Step 2 at the first time of asking.
LAST TIME OUT
Trinity didn’t get off to the best of starts losing 1-0 away at Nantwich Town to a Stephen Jones 94th minute winner. It’s still early days though and they’ll be looking to get back on track and kick start their season on home turf for the first time this season.
SPORTS TEAM NEWS
Tom Burgin (Concussion) and Jake Scott (Ankle) are minor doubts for John McGraths side but should be in contention to play if selected. If not McGrath has plenty of options to rotate with Curtis Burrows and Mason Warren chomping at the bit for a first full start of the season. Nathan Jarman is expected to start against his former team and will be certainly looking to bag himself a goal or two… or three….
