Matty’s is either a right midfielder or right back. He was initially picked up by Middlesborough from Scalby Juniors, before moving onto Hull City.

He then had a spell at Scarborough Athletic, before moving to Scotland with Dunfermline Athletic. After a brief loan spell at Pickering Town, he left Scotland in 2021, attending Loughborough University and continued to play there until his pre-season move to Basford.

He has also played for the England Independent Schools team during his time at Repton School and made his Sports debut playing at right back in the visit to Kettering.
