Mickleover Sports have a very strong test coming their way on Saturday as they welcome top of the league Warrington Town to The Don Amott Arena. Warrington has only lost 5 game all season and have only conceded 24 goals, the lowest of any side in the league. Mickleover know that with teams around them picking up points they need to stay within an arms width with only 11 games to go in this difficult and frustration season. With the additions of experienced centre back Ryan Cresswell and exciting prospect Levi Amantchi making a huge contribution to the fantastic 2-0 win away at Scarborough Athletic, Sports will have plenty of confidence they can use home advantage to grab a surprise win to keep their survival chances alive.
LAST TIME OUT
Warrington Cemented their place at the top of the league standing as well as doing us a favour, by beating Workington away from home 2-0. Dylan Vassallo scored both goals in the last 15 minutes to take all three points from their trip up to Cumbria. Sports also won their last game as they registered only their second away win of the season, beating Scarborough Athletic 2-0 as well last Saturday. Both goals came from new Chesterfield loan signing Levi Amantchi in the second half.
SPORTS TEAM NEWS
Nathan Jarman should be back from suspension. Shaquille McDonald should also be back from the minor knock that meant he missed the Scarborough game. Jake Scott was taken off with his persistent shoulder injury so we’ll need to see how that is going into the weekend. Apart from what everyone else is presumed fit and available for selection.
