Steve Taylor, assistant manager to first team manager John McGrath has left Sports to take up a new role as assistant manager to Mark Robins at Coventry City – a club he has worked with before.
Steve has been fantastic during his time at Mickleover Sports and everybody at the club wish him the very best of luck in his new role.
The club will now begin the process of hiring a new assistant manager.
It is with regret that this evening’s game with Hednesford Town has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
The game will be rearranged for a later date so please watch this website for details.

SPORTS STRENGTHEN SQUAD WITH STRIKER SIGNINGS
We are pleased to confirm that Tyler Blake has extended his loan deal with Sports to the end of the season.
Blake has been prolific for the club in his short spell, with 5 goals in 4 games to date.
John McGrath has bolstered the squad further by signing striker Kuda Muskwe (pictured) on loan from Rotherham United.
Muskwe scored five goals whilst on loan at Stockbridge Park Steels and will further strengthen the options available to McGrath.
Keep an eye out for more transfer news over the next few days…

It’s been a busy week at the club with first-team player-manager John McGrath making two important player changes.
Firstly, we see striker Zeph Thomas go to Shaw Lane Aquaforce on a permanent deal. Zeph had a strong goal scoring record at Sports, but with Adam Baskerville now back from injury, there is cover up front. This is in addition to Tyler Blake, a recent acquisition from Mansfield Town.
In addition, Sports have clinched the signing of Nick Draper (pictured), an experienced goalkeeper from Worcester City to replace the outgoing Green on a season-long loan.
John McGrath had the following to say about Green:
I am delighted to get the services of Nick. He is a goalkeeper I have long admired and I really look forward to working with him. He will add great experience and competition to our squad.
Come to the Don Amott Arena tomorrow to see the lads play against Workington FC in the NPL Premier Division (3pm).

We are delighted to announce our partnership with trentbarton, the ‘really good bus company’.
The first step of this partnership is the provision of quite possibly the best dugout in football – the bus-stop dugout! We have pleasure in releasing this early image of the dugout in production at the trentbarton engineering depot.
This forward-thinking attitude has seen trentbarton grow into one of the most recognisable, best respected bus companies in the UK.
We look forward to announcing the next step – the dugout being installed and ready at the Don Amott Arena. We will try not to keep you waiting!
Sports suffered another defeat after a much brighter performance at Halesowen Town with the home side running out 4-2 winners.
